Over the last three years, the state of Tennessee has ranked number one for its collaborative work to address human trafficking, and End Slavery Tennessee has been key to that success. Last year, survivor referrals to End Slavery Tennessee grew over 60x that of when we opened our doors in 2012. However, in that same time we’ve worked with women who have come through these doors and walked out the other side as survivors. There have been new jobs started, GEDs earned, homes moved into, and reunions with children. These women deserve a chance to tell their stories. Today, we launch the brand new End Slavery Tennessee Podcast, Someone Like Me, for the purpose of empowering survivors and educating those of us who can help stop the problem.

In this new podcast, Someone Like Me, you’ll gain a deepened understanding of how people become human trafficking victims and the many obstacles in their recovery. You’ll also hear updates from End Slavery Tennessee program leaders about initiatives in this vital work and educate yourself as we dissolve common myths around Human Trafficking.
